Valerie Hill - Pieroni
retired from the County of Los Angeles were she designed and implemented
the award winning Totally Against Graffiti (TAG), a public outreach and
educational program to combat graffiti. She was responsible for
managing a budget of $8.2 million with more than $4 million raised from
the private sector.
She has spoken
extensively about graffiti throughout the United States for the
Department of Justice, Gang Investigators, California Police Chiefs
Association, California Superior Court Judges Association, California
Public Works Association, California Parks Association to name a few.
She has guided numerous cities in their efforts to establish a
comprehensive graffiti abatement program.
Preceding the development
of the Tag program, she was assigned to the Chief Administrative Office
where she was responsible for Operations and Fiscal Analyst for the
Department of Mental Health and Department of Children’s and Family
Services.
Prior to joining the County, Mrs. Pieroni
was privately employed gaining extensive experience in fundraising,
government operations, redevelopment, transportations demands, budget
analysis, contract administration, and media relations. She directed
legislative research/analysis in local/state lobbying efforts
representing various topics including water shortage, dental practices,
emergency physicians, American Disabilities Act, and Community College
issues.
She earned two master Degrees one in
Business Administration and one in Public Administration. She is
certified in mediation and transportation demand management.
Presently, she represents
the interests of several for profit business and non-profit
organizations.
