Lee Barnard |
Lee Barnard was a Police Officer for over 17-years.
While at the Oxnard Police Department he developed an expertise in gangs
and graffiti. He worked in a Gang unit that was said to have reduced the
gang crime by 73%. He later became a full-time graffiti investigator. He
has cleared over 6,800 cases of graffiti and has interviewed over 750
graffiti vandals. He has been a guest speaker at hundreds of
neighborhood watch meetings, focus groups, and citizen’s academies He
has a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Lee developed an early intervention
program for taggers and amended city ordinances to combat graffiti. He
has written articles for Law and Order magazine, been featured in
newspaper articles, and has authored the book, “Understanding and
Investigating Graffiti.” He recently was a guest presenter at the 2008
Utah Gang Conference and currently owns a martial arts school and speaks
on Crime Prevention topics. His motto for fighting graffiti is
“Aggressive Tenacity.”

graffiti case load, the importance of collecting graffiti paraphernalia,
and networking with the numerous entities around you. There is only one
