Ken Davis |
Ken Davis is a 22 veteran with the Yonkers Police
Department, Yonkers, NY. He is presently a School Resource Officer at
Commerce Middle School. Occasionally he conducts graffiti vandalism
investigations. He is best known for his endeavors during the 1990s.
During this decade he was a graffiti/gang officer within the
department's Community Affairs Division. Within a four period, this
unit arrested approximately 240 graffiti offenders. Also during this
decade, he was one of the co-founders and field coordinators for a
community-based graffiti art program called, Off the Wall (OTW). OTW was
sponsored by the Yonkers Community Action Program and Youth Service
Bureau that generated permission colorful pieces on HIV/AIDS
awareness. His graffiti offenders' apprehension methods consist
of integrating graffiti identification/analysis, criminal
investigation and online resources methods.
He has presented at 2008 National Gang Summit on Gang
